The 50's showed up at the Still Saving Lives Car Show
Loving the Ford Ranchero is not always easy at a car show. We usually get to most shows early so we can shoot the show with the least amount of people surrounding the ride. Of course this means waiting for the polish up and wipe down that takes another 1/2 hour. It is amazing how much cleaning goes on at the beginning of a car show. The better the ride the more the wipe down. Most cars should be at the show before the car show opening giving a clue as to how many classic will be in attendance so when we found this classic Ranchero tucked in the corner it was a happy surprise. The '63 was just driving in when we were leaving. This years show was not at the park it was at the parking lot down the street. Hot, must have been the word of the day, happy we got there early. Ken the owner of this ride said it was an old police cruiser and showcased the blinking light show on the back window, looking good Ken thanks for bring your classic ride to the show. Catch the LAPD at its finest.
Last years show was a blast, a little hot but it is a park on the lawn car show with lots of trees. The LAPD bring out all their big rides including a helicopter, great family fun.

Nice mix-up of cars for this 2016 car show. The LAPD shows up with all their rides including a few helicopters & horses. The car show is held at Warner Center Park so it is a grass parking show, which has a nice backdrop for the classics. Check at the show here for a ride down memory 2016.

This show was a lot of fun despite the heat. It was pretty hot at Warner Center Park. The LAPD put on a pretty good show. Lots of amazing rides, there was an auction, food and music. Catch the car show here.
The safest place in the valley.
The LAPD Still Saving Lives Car Show was HOT! No justice for those who got there early, they parked us in the sun. 100 + degrees, so skipped the bbq, too hot for hot dogs and burgers, hit the food truck instead. This show is for a great cause so it was worth the trip, look for photos of the show this week. Check out last years show here.
Oh My! Took all of 5 minutes to park and get into the show. What happened? Not sure if it is the heat, a lot of empty spaces but it was still crowded. Had a double car show moment when we ran into Bob with his 1950 Ford Woodie at Pomona, he was at the LAPD Car Show, looking for a buyer for his ride, hope he gets some serious offers, it's a beautiful Woodie in mint condition.
Stopped by to pick up one more bar stool from Rusted Gold, their hand-crafted auto inspired bars and table settings are wonderful for any car enthusiast looking for originality. The LAPD 12th Annual Car Show at Warner Center had a great showing, exotic & classic cars, food trucks and music. The LAPD showed up in force, showing off their rides, from cars to motorcycles. Classics lined up on the lawn at Warner Center with the California day, a perfect backdrop. We got their early to get the best shots before the crowd.
